POR_H1X3820… born and raised in Sweden, Chef Daniel started work in his home country as a chef just after he finished culinary school and has since been applying the “chef as a lifestyle” maxim to his professional and personal life. In a career that has spanned the globe, from Greece to Paris, Thailand to Monaco and locales between, this intrepid chef studied the lifestyles and cultures of host countries, a fact obvious to anyone who has the pleasure to sample his unique, multi-faceted cuisine.

In his travels, Daniel has incorporated his cooking convictions and visions into varied stints with cruise lines to private yachts, private catering atop Angel Falls in Venezuela to private parties for superstars such as Ace of Base and Kim Wilde. Those who have sat at Chef Daniel’s table, from Sean Connery to the Swedish Royal Family to Bill Gates, come to understand the passion he puts into every creation is born from life experience.

On a trip to California Daniel’s eyes opened to market-fresh, ingredient driven local menus. The clean, straight-forward tastes that embody U.S. West-Coast style, with Mediterranean and Asian influences, fit perfectly onto Daniel’s palette of cooking colors, and inspire him to further develop his spa style, gourmet cuisine. In some ways Daniel never left California: after working among the vines and produce of the region, he keeps in touch with colleagues. A member of the California Mercenary Chefs, a collection of noted chef’s that venture internationally to promote California’s phenomenal food and drink with their culinary prowess.

Isberg traveled and lived in many countries and trained in their cuisines. He is experienced in every aspect of the restaurant industry, from bartender to waiter, consultant to chef-du-cuisine, as a dishwasher and as an owner of several establishments along the way. He made a name for himself not only in his own establishments and kitchens, but also creating private dinners for elite clientele such as Sylvester Stallone, Antonia Banderas, Melanie Griffith, Bono, Isabella Rossellini, Bruce Springsteen, Calvin Klein, Alberto Tomba, Hillary Clinton, and Arnold Schwarzenegger to name a few.

Daniel’s latest professional foray finds him donning the chef’s toque in one of Poland’s finest gastronomic establishments KOM Restaurant & Wine Bar. After successfully establishing relationships with local purveyors to secure the best products, Daniel quickly set about turning KOM into the premier eatery in the capital. His efforts were quickly awarded with numerous accolades. Within 6 months he reached his goal and took home Poland’s nationwide Noble Bank Food & Wine Awards for Best Appetizer and Entrée to be defined the finest in Poland!

Chef Isberg knows full well that, while important, truffles and foie-gras are not the only thing in life and that his lifestyle must be more than a single faceted activity. His love of life extend over the plate’s rim into a variety of interests: modeling in Sweden, rock music in California, Thai boxing in Thailand. Daniel has always felt that his lifestyle needs to be as much about balance as it is about passion and art. To be a chef is not a job… it´s a life style! A life full of experience and flavor can be seen, smelled and savored on every plate.
